July 6, 2012 First Friday Art Walk, Bend, OR

The first Friday of every month, the town hosts the "First Friday Art Walk" or in other words, shops stay open late hosting local artists & their wares. The competition is stiff to get our attention, so they lure us with live music and treats...

Parked 1/2 block from here, walking into it......

First hot summer evening and it's crowded......

Outdoor dining on First Friday is a good experience...

Slick Side Down was playing at Local Joe's. That's how I remembered to come down here, got an invite on fb

looked too cramped in there, kept walking and within half a block found these guys jammin the blues

with one drunk lady dancing lol

further down the street... a mellower band playeth

to a mellower audience lol

did not know we had a trolly!~

This guy was jammin!!

his dog.. not so much

tempting....

i finally succumb at the locally distilled vodka booth

;-)

i wasn't alone...

Does that look phallic to anyone else?

no, but thank you :)

*does a double take*

yes, she is wearing a beer can dress. My thought? We ARE the Beer Capital!

more enviable outdoor dining (note the martinis & beers)...

one of many, many bikes i encountered...

look again..

topped off with the best sound of the evening.... "more! more!" the crowd yelled after each song

& they obliged

glad i was brave enough to go out by myself. =)

If you missed it, don't worry, it's year round. Just go next month!

(There is a drunk lady at every event like that, right?)

  3. So...everyone there is sloshed out of their gourd on beer, wine and home made vodka. No wonder they call it "Bend".
